The distribution and the assembling are very low contributors to environmental impacts due to the choice of locating these activities in Europe. The CO2 emissions are reduced thanks to the short distances between production and customer locations. Relocating in Europe significantly reduces the social risks on all the steps of the process (except extraction of raw materials). The use of 95% recycled Aluminum helps address toxicity issues. |
Extraction of raw material is the most impactful steps in the product lifecycle: the origine of the raw material could be optimized to decrease the impact.
We could also consider another material than Aluminum. We could study another finishing process than zinc finishing of the screw and washer.

The 6 environmental indicators below have been selected according to the PEF methodology:

The findings of the life cycle analysis confirm that our approach, at 1432, is on the right track.
Our design and manufacturing choices have been validated across all indicators in scope (climate change, resources use, toxicity/human cancers, social performance…).
RECYCLING
The crank arm and the screws are recyclable.
